Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
This policy explains how DocVeil handles information when you use DocVeil. DocVeil is designed so document content can be processed locally in your browser.
Document processing
PDF and image files, rendered pages, OCR text, detected sensitive values, manual redaction areas, and generated outputs are processed on your device. DocVeil does not intentionally upload document content to an application server, Supabase, or an analytics provider. Documents are not saved to localStorage.
Account information
If you create an account, Supabase Auth processes your email address, optional name, authentication records, session information, and basic plan metadata. Supabase may store the browser session needed to keep you signed in. Account data is separate from document-processing data.
Technical data
Hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and security logs. DocVeil does not place document text or detected sensitive values in application logs.
Cookies and local storage
DocVeil uses only storage required for authentication and essential application operation. If non-essential analytics or advertising tools are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated first.
Retention and deletion
Closing or refreshing the workspace clears the in-memory document session. Generated object URLs are revoked by the application. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.
International services
Account and hosting providers may process data in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their contracts, security measures, and applicable data-protection law.
Your choices
You can use the core document-redaction workflow without creating an account. You may request access, correction, or deletion of account information by emailing support@getdocveil.com.
Beta notice
DocVeil is beta software. OCR can miss sensitive information or produce false positives. Always review every page and redaction before sharing an output.
